About the site
One day, we were thinking about how toxic and negative the internet can be. We had the tools at our disposal to create a resource to counteract this and try and spread love on the world wide web. We decided to get together some of our favourite music, films, games, memes, inspirational and useful sites, basically anything that helps us feel good in our lives. It's a completely personal collection that's continually evolving, and obviously we know everyone has different tastes. However, we wanted to show how much good stuff there is on the Internet and how much creativity is in the world. Many of the things we've chosen are very well-known, but we thought it would be helpful to create a unified network for people to find some inspiration and joy in one place. Whether it's Fred and Ginger doing the Continental, Eric B and Rakim getting Paid in Full or Billie Eilish asserting 'Therefore I am', these are things that lift our spirits.
Our aim is for the site to be freely accessible to everyone, we are not trying to make money or build an internet profile. There are no ads on The Good Hub and we aren't aiming to collect personal data. We want to go back to the first principles of the Internet - that's what we're about. To quote Tim Berners Lee:
"This is for everyone. One web."
